Surviving the Storm: Understanding and Responding to Tantrums

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

One scary truth about early childhood? Tantrums are normal. With that said, responding appropriately can be a tricky task! This presentation is designed to help participants understand what is going on inside the brain of a tantruming child and help said child calm down and communicate through the storm.

At the end of this session participants will be able to:
  • decipher key differences between various types of tantrums.
  • identify a minimum of three techniques that appropriately help children to calm in the midst of a tantrum.
